You’ve most likely heard about the ‘Dindi Directory’, but have you heard about ‘The Dindi Store’?

The Dindi Store is a new initiative by Murrindindi Shire Council to help support local businesses through the economic recovery phase of the COVID-19 pandemic, with funding support from the Victorian-Government.

Council’s Tourism and Events Portfolio Councillor, Jackie Ashe said while our Dindi Directory offers a one-stop listing for local businesses and services that are open and operating in our Shire, the Dindi Store is an e-commerce platform that will assist local retailers, producers, artists and service providers to sell products and services directly to their customers. Customers can search for a particular business and shop within the Dindi Directory, as well as shop directly via The Dindi Store.

‘The Dindi Store gives customers an easy way to shop locally from the comfort of home. We think the Dindi Store will help connect businesses to improve the scope of their services and products. Whether you’re an accommodation provider looking to partner with other businesses to offer a package that includes dining and pampering, a service provider looking to offer vouchers for gift products, or you’re a business that wants to retail online – The Dindi Store is an easy, free way to expand your market. The only cost to businesses is the standard credit card processing fees they would normally be paying’, said Cr Ashe.

‘And, as travel restrictions are eased, The Dindi Store will help support local businesses which offer services, packages and gift vouchers. People who are planning to holiday in our region can visit the online store and select a local package for travel now or later, including vouchers to use on accommodation, experiences, meals and local products. Overseas and some interstate travel is limited right now, so this a great time to see how you can ‘value-add’ to your product or service to make our Shire an even more attractive destination.

‘If you’re a local business and you’d like to sign up to be featured on The Dindi Store, please get in touch. The sign-up process is easy – just click here to register your details.

‘It may be “business as unusual” for many businesses right now in Murrindindi Shire, but there are still many ways our community can help support our local businesses. Check out The Dindi Store and purchase some products and services. Together, we can help them make it through the pandemic’, added Cr Ashe.
