Last week the Murrindindi Shire Council passed a motion urging the government to protect the Snobs Creek Valley, an incredible area of forest just outside of Eildon that’s under the threat of ecological collapse due to ongoing clearfell logging.

This area is an important water catchment for the upper Goulburn valley, critical habitat for endangered wildlife and a wonderful area for recreation.

The 8 proposed logging coupes contain beautiful tall eucalyptus forest and pockets of temperate rainforest that are located just above Snobs Creek falls (one of the best waterfalls in Murrindindi ).
